Hanukkah Celebration!
Canceled due to inclement weather

Join the students of the religious school on Sunday, December 21, from 9:30 AM to noon as the annual Hanukkah celebration takes place.

Watch each class as they present a special Hanukkah performance, followed by games and food in the social hall (pin the candle on the menorah is shown at right).

Book Plates for Eit Ratzon Prayer Books

Need a unique holiday gift? For a minimum donation of $50 per book plate, you can give a gift that will be remembered each time a prayer book is opened.

To order a book plate, please fill out a book plate order form or contact Debbie at the synagogue office.

Important Change to
Adult Education Schedule

Adult Education will no longer be held on Sunday mornings. Starting in January, Adult Education will move to Tuesday evenings at 7 PM. Meetings will take place at the synagogue.

January’s topic will be The GOLEM, FRANKENSTEIN, and THE HULK –what they share in common and what they don’t. Its focus will be the creation of a chalk pastel rendering of the Golem.

February's program will examine the force of social justice as seen from the right, the middle and left.

In March, the topic is Islam and Judaism. We will meet with the Islamic director of the Muslim Community Cultural Center of Baltimore, Imam Earl El-Amin. We will explore the common paths of peace that both Judaism and Islam desire to pursue. The three sessions will explore the common ground that both religions share.

Please join the Public Justice Center in calling your legislators to co-sponsor or support the Religious Freedom and Civil Marriage Protection Act, the bill being introduced in the Maryland General Assembly to allow civil marriage of same-sex couples.
